Feels like a proper experience of Istanbul eating here - great decor and good ambience matched with great food and service - would not hesitate to recommend

The food was great but when I go to such a renowned restaurant l, I expect an experience. Not just for the food to taste good. This place did not deliver. So many waiters, yet, not one of them made us feel welcome or wanted. The food was so rushed that we were still eating our cold appetizers when the hot ones arrived and were placed on our plate. And we weren’t even done with those when the main course arrived and the unfinished hot appetizers were removed. One of the two waiters asked if wet were done but it was clearly more of a rhetorical question bc he was standing with the main course in his hands and I didn’t feel I had a choice but to say ok. So.. we had received all our 6 courses within an hour of sitting down. That’s not ok. Again, no complaints about the food. It tasted really well but the experience was bad because it felt like the customer didn’t matter and that they needed to get it us out soon. That should not happen for a place with such. Recognition.

Unfortunately, it wasn't anything special. Moreover, some of the dishes were average in taste, such as the apples baked with meat, which had a bland flavor with no emphasis on spices, and the apples were not fully cooked, making it difficult to cut them with a knife. The sea bass on paper with vegetables was also very neutral, lacking any distinct flavor. The anthracite with cumin and cinnamon was not even finished, as it was simply not tasty. Unfortunately, the restaurant left a poor impression.

Absolutely the best restaurant we tried in Istanbul! Just a few minutes’ walk from Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque, it’s a true hidden gem in the heart of the city. We were amazed by the unique flavors, especially the seasonal specialties like the pomegranate meatballs, which were unforgettable. The quality of the ingredients is exceptional, and you can really taste the authenticity of Turkish cuisine brought to life in every bite. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff are incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely happy to share their culture and culinary traditions with guests. If I had more days in Istanbul, I would definitely come back again and again. A wonderful place that I will recommend to anyone visiting this beautiful city!

1 of 4 items ordered was not upto the mark. The tables with more guests received more attention, than mine did. Also received a wrong dish, which was corrected after I brought it to their attention. For a Michelin star place, I did not expect it to have such mishaps on a non-busy day/non-busy hour. The Baklava with ice cream did the heavy lifting, as saving grace.

Although we could not have degustation menu because there was an event we had an excellent diner The mezze starter were very tasty , the bread gorgeous! So light , absolutely delicious. Mains ( lamb shank or some sort - sorry forgot name and chicken on eggplant ) were perfect . Staff were perfect, attentive to needs and friendly too. I wish we had gone back tonight instead of trying something else 😂 Highest recommendations !
